Hello traders!
I have 3 step-by-step videos available where they explain how Bull vs Bear works! After purchase, please contact me so I could send you to your email the video guides.
Once the indicator is installed, go to the inputs section, and you’ll see the exact same screenshot below:
1. Lookback
The first input is called Lookback, with a default setting of 3000 bars. Bull versus Bear uses a statistics dashboard, and this input controls how many past signals are displayed based on the number of bars you select. A higher number means the indicator will look further back to display more signals. I recommend leaving it at the default setting to avoid overloading your MT4 terminal with too much data.
2. General Settings
In the General Settings section, you’ll see four inputs, all set to “true.” These form the core strategy of Bull versus Bear, and I highly recommend leaving them unchanged to ensure the strategy functions as intended.
3. Display Settings
The Display Settings section gives you several options to customize how signals appear on your chart:
Display Mode: You can choose between two options–icons or arrows. By default, a bull icon represents a buy signal, and a bear icon represents a sell signal. If you prefer, you can replace these icons with arrows.
Icon Size: Adjust the size of the Bull versus Bear signals. A higher number makes the icons larger, while a lower number makes them smaller.
Arrow Size: If you’ve chosen arrows as your visual signals, this input lets you adjust the size of the buy and sell arrows. A higher value increases the arrow size, and a lower value decreases it.
Buy Arrow Color: Change the color of the bullish (buy) signal.
Sell Arrow Color: Change the color of the bearish (sell) signal.
4. Alert Settings
Moving on to the Alert Settings, you have the following options:
Enable Pop-up Alerts: Sends an alert to your MT4 terminal when a new signal appears.
Enable Email Alerts: Sends an alert directly to your email when a new signal appears.
Enable Mobile Notifications: Sends a push notification to your phone when a new signal appears.
5. Profit Settings
In the Profit Settings, we have several visual options:
Calculation Mode: This input calculates take profit and stop loss levels based on specific strategies. The default strategy, HigherHigh and LowerLow, uses price action by relying on peak prices, giving you ample room for trading. This is the strategy that I personally use, and it works well on any timeframe.
The second strategy called Signal Profit, is straightforward because it simply closes trades based on the next signal. It can be effective if you’re trading on smaller timeframes.
Win Color Option: This allows you to change the color of your take profit levels and visualize your profits in pips, points, or even money!
Loss Color Option: Change the color of your stop loss levels and visualize your losses in pips, points, or money.
Entry Color Option: Change the color of your entry price level on the chart.
6. Label Settings
In the Label Settings, you can activate or deactivate the display of take profit and stop loss numbers on the chart. You can also adjust the font style and size according to your preference.
7. Line Settings
The Line Settings input allows you to customize the horizontal lines showing your take profit, stop loss, and entry prices. You can modify the style and thickness of the lines to suit your visual preferences.
8. Panel Settings
In the final section, we have the Panel Settings:
Show Panel: You can activate or deactivate the statistics dashboard.
X and Y Shift: These inputs allow you to manually move the panel to any location on your MT4 chart.
Panel Width: Adjust the width of the panel if you want a larger or smaller screen.
Logo Size: Modify the size of the Bull versus Bear logo to fit your preferences.
Total Profit Mode: You have three options here–pips, points, or dollars–to display your total profit.
Lot Size: Select any lot size, and Bull versus Bear will automatically calculate total profits based on your chosen lot number.
